Literature Text

It was gravity that left them nearly half-dead, no matter how many times she screamed for it stop and to hurt her, not them.

It was gravity that sent her spiraling towards memory loss. (she couldn't remember who she was anymore.)

It was gravity that made her realize how powerless, how helpless she had been while watching them scream in pain and unbearable agony.

It was gravity that caused her to cry her eyes out and not sleep for days, itseemedlikeyearsforher.

It was gravity that made her father's close friends that suffer in sake of their children's (her guardains.) lives.

It was gravity that came from the ruby red gloves, the scrawny figure, the blood-craze, revenge-centered red pools, the soft, fluffy crimson red hair.

It was gravity that came from Kozato Kazuhiko, her best friend, until he betrayed her, claiming that her father and his Mafia caused his friends to stray away from him and suffer during the war.

It was gravity that forced her to realize that she was weak, cowardly, compared to Kazuhiko, who was honestly blunt, brave, and encouraging. And she realized that she didn't want it to be this way. She didn't want to fight Kazuhiko, she didn't want her friends and family to suffer, she didn't want the meaningless fight to continue on until it wanes into the future.

She wanted to end it now.

But it wasn't gravity that made her, despite her temporairly memory loss, choose to stand by her father's name and declare that her father was not a man who would do such a thing shethinks.

But it wasn't gravity that made her stand up and scream out that "No matter what happens, no matter what you throw at me, no matter what you say, I will keep standing. If you beat me into the ground, I will keep standing, bloody and broken. Until the end. Because that's how strong I need to be in order to protect my loved ones. THAT is my pride!" and smile painfully at Kazuhiko before he retreats with his guardians into hiding.

But it wasn't gravity that made her realize that she will stick by this word, this promise, this vow until the very end.

Though it started out with her goal being to meet her father, it ended up being protecting her loved ones with the power she gained. (And if she couldn't use this power to protect, then she would destory it and take Vongola down with her.) All through the blood, sweat, tears, and pain they all shared and experienced together.

"I'll stick by them until the end. Because they seem to mean so much to me that it hurts to see them like this." She says, hurt, lost, confused," And I don't even remember them."

Reborn narrows his eyes slightly before placing his gaze on the window.

"Do you remember who you are, what you mean to them, what you mean to all of us?" The hitman asks calmly, face unreadable.

"No," she shakes her head.

"I'll give you a hint: sky." His eyes clash with her eyes when she turns to him, brows furrowed and lips frowning.

"Huh?" she cocks her head to the side, face remaining the same.

There is a pregnant pause between them, and Reborn, for once, breaks off the eye contest as Nana walks in, frowning softly and sadly staring at the girl and the unconcious bodies spread around the room.

"It's time to go home, Amami," the older woman states gingerly, as if she was going to break something weak and frail.

Amami, the girl, stands and wanders lifelessly over to Nana, and Reborn purses his lips, glaring at the window across from him angrily.

He only turns away to follow the two females back home.
